MSK attorneys have extensive experience representing clients before the District Commissions that administer Act 250, the Vermont Environmental Court, various historic land-use panels, Superior Courts and the Vermont Supreme Court with respect to environmental matters involving such diverse areas as ancient roads, conservation easements, water law, radio frequency radiation, brownfields redevelopment and “large farms.” In particular, our attorneys have assisted clients with the applicability of the public trust doctrine to lakes, ponds and navigable waters and the regulation of surface and subsurface waters (including storm water and wetlands regulations).
MSK attorneys have served as counsel before various boards and courts (including the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and United States Supreme Court) in Vermont’s leading cases on radio frequency radiation and radio frequency interference. MSK attorneys have also represented clients in “Large Farm” cases, and have worked with environmental consultants to coordinate environmental impact statements and to assure compliance with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for the City of Winooski Downtown Redevelopment Project.
