Attorney Huessy recently took the lead in organizing a meeting of attorneys on the topic of Act 250, Vermont’s state land use permit law, at the Vermont Bar Association Young Lawyer Division’s Mid-Winter Thaw Conference in Montreal. Almost 50 years after its enactment, Act 250 continues to play a vital role in the protection of Vermont’s environment and Vermont business development. The seminar covered emerging issues in Act 250 legal practice from the perspectives of the Natural Resources Board (the regulatory agency charged with its enforcement) and various attorneys who represent both developers and neighbors.
