In April 2016, Attorney Katelyn Ellermann presented on a panel at the 2016 Annual Education Conference hosted by the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) in Boston. The panel highlighted the opportunities and benefits of clerking with specialty courts nationwide, including environmental, immigration, and tax courts. Prior to joining MSK, Katelyn clerked in the Environmental Division of the Vermont Superior Court. For attorneys training for a specialized law practice, such as MSK’s real estate, land use, and environmental practice areas, clerking for a court with specific jurisdiction develops familiarity with that court’s procedures as well as the nuances of legal issues that commonly arise in cases within that court’s jurisdiction.
